Feeling global – Arab street

Today in Singapore I met up with people from a course I did while I was living in Ireland. The course was in France they were from Germany and now live in Australia, are in Singapore for a conference and we chatted over Lebanese food. As we talked we compared living, working, cultures, academia, in all the countries we had lived in. There was something incredible about having common experiences in different places. They mentioned freaking out about seeing kangaroos while the locals were very amused and thought it was normal – I couldn’t help but remember my fascination with sheep.
