Plod the parks

Today in Singapore I set off at the cracks of dawn to go walking with a bunch of people through 2 of Singapore’s park. First we tramped through the botanical gardens in what must have been my fastest time through the gardens.

But I still managed to go through parts I’d never seen in previous visits!

Then we walked along the Alexandre park connector towards Fort canning park.

Along the way we encountered some natives!!

Once at Fort canning, we explored a bit before saying goodbye.

We found that there was a way up onto the old Fort gate and sneaked up there.

Once I had said goodbye to the group I had some time before meeting for lunch so I explored a bit more coming across an old cemetery which people of all nationalities that had been stationed/lived and died here in the 19th and early 20th century.
