Today in Singapore, as I went to get some dinner I heard music and came upon a young man playing a piano. Initially I thought he was a performer, though pianos on the street are really not that common here. When he finished another man who was listening sat down and played awhile, and then a child…it was then I realized the piano was just put there and these were random people sitting down to play. Coming back after dinner I listened to a few more people, some youngsters others seem to be going home from work. It really brought a smile to my face as everyone – those who were playing and those who were listening seem to be enjoying themselves. This is really not something you see here especially out here in the suburbs. I do hope it’ll stay here at least awhile!
